Horseshoe Crab Day at Jenkinsons Aquarium

Join us at Jenkinsons Aquarium for Horseshoe Crab day!

🎉 On 10/8 we’ll be celebrating horseshoe crab day at Jenkinsons Aquarium in Point Pleasant!! I wanted to create something special for my son’s generation, and feel so privileged I get to share my work with other families!

🗓 We’re putting on a special family-friendly event to celebrate why horseshoe crabs are so very special! Join us on Saturday, October 8th from 11-4 for crafts, educational events, and a live read of our picture book #weshellflip! We Shell Flip follows a special horseshoe crab named Helen on the day she gets stuck and learns to flip herself back over. It teaches adults and kids lessons about resilience and encourages them to keep going through tough times.

🦀📖 No pre-registration required, your aquarium ticket will allow you access to the fun!

❤️ Hope to see you there, and feel free to share with family and friends!!

Live Chat Celebrating We Shell Flip and Strong Women

✨ Watch the live chat here on the @unmaskedmotherhood channel for real advice from three passionate community-builders and storytellers.

Megan Levy, Tara Victoria, and Jordan Hernandez have a shared-mission to connect others, and are coming together in conversation to celebrate the release of We Shell Flip!

Each of these powerful women ignited their creative passions in different ways during the beginning of the pandemic to produce meaningful work. Throughout the discussion they'll share more about what keeps them going and their ‘why’.

More about the guests below:

🥳 Megan Lynn Levy is a Writer, Optimist, and a New Mom. She wrote her children’s picture book, We Shell Flip, so parents and kids can discuss feeling stuck. Her Unmasked outlet produces edutainment for caregivers of today. She firmly believes if you believe in yourself you can do anything.

🥳 Tara Victoria @taravictorial is a Calgary-based Artist whose work is rooted in bringing stories to life. Her abstract paintings, realistic portraits, murals, and illustrations tell tales of the human experience. Through a process of conversation, listening, and experimentation, she creates tangible artworks in the hope of allowing people to see themselves in someone else.

🥳 Jordan Hernandez is the founder and curator of the brand Completely Booked, a book review Instagram, book club, and book product line focusing on diverse authors, stories, and characters. Her posts have been featured on major Instagram accounts including Oprah's Book Club & Sweet July. She has co-authored and published two children's books. While she is busy, she is never too booked for a good book. Follow her on Instagram @_completelybooked for great recommendations.
